If your kids are anything like mine, they probably love sweets. But of course, our kids need to eat a variety of foods for optimal health. This fruit dip with Greek yogurt has been a game-changer in our house—sweet enough to feel like a treat, but with nutrients that help my kids stay full and fueled.

Kids can crave sweets for a variety of reasons with the most common being that they taste good! It’s normal, and their growing bodies need a lot of energy from carbohydrates. Of course, sweet, carb-heavy snacks can leave kids feeling hungry soon after eating or cause blood sugar irregularity. This can look like big reactions to small things – I prefer to avoid that and I’m sure you do too!
Also, my kids love eating fruit which is great, but sometimes fruit isn’t filling enough. This results in me hearing “mom, I’m hungry” 100 times a day. OK maybe that’s a little dramatic, but it’s super annoying when they want to come back to the kitchen for more food 5 minutes after eating fruit.
So the solution is to serve the fruit with something that can add more calories to better satisfy them. Also, this dip helps pair those favorite sweet flavors with a balanced meal or snack – meaning one that includes other macronutrients like fat and protein. This helps regulate blood sugar and keeps them fuller longer.
Not only does this tasty dip have it all (carbs, fat, and protein), when paired with fruit, your child will also be getting immune-boosting vitamins and filling fiber!
That’s why I created a creamy fruit dip made with Greek yogurt that my kids love. I love it because it helps fill them up and gets them even more excited about eating fruit!
Instead of fear, it’s important to model balance. It’s OK to enjoy sweet treats!

What Makes this Fruit Dip Different?
This delicious Greek yogurt fruit dip has simple ingredients, most of which offer a nutrition boost.
Greek yogurt: provides a great source of protein to help with satiety and also probiotics to keep their gut happy.
Cream cheese: adds fat and creaminess which will also help satisfy your kids hunger and last much longer than a snack without fat.
Maple syrup: provides a gentle sweetness without adding refined sugar.
Caramel drizzle: doesn’t offer much nutritionally but it sure makes this dip more exciting which in turn will lead to more excitement about eating fruit!
Unlike many store-bought dips, this homemade fruit dip with Greek yogurt offers both flavor and satiety—perfect for growing kids.
How to Make It
The best part about this Greek yogurt dip is you can whip it up in less than 5 minutes! Need I say more?!
Step 1: Get your 5 ingredients measured according to the recipe.

Step 2: Mix everything together (except the caramel sauce) in a medium sized bowl with an electric mixer until fully combined and smooth (about 1 minute).

Step 3: Pour the dip into a serving container.

Step 4: Drizzle the caramel sauce on top.

Step 5: Serve immediately with your preferred fruits or chill in the fridge until ready to serve.
